Care & Warranty

Thank you for trusting Nokto with the choice of your bedding. Below are some tips and recommendations for proper use, to ensure your full satisfaction over the years.

Tips and recommendations

Your mattress must be placed on a flat bed base, free of any roughness, hollows or excessive curvature. Made of noble materials, it may settle slightly during use.

A new bedding always requires an adaptation period of a few weeks. The filling materials compress slightly to better follow your body's position. The feel of your new Nokto mattress may differ from that of your previous one.

Care

We recommend covering your mattress with a protective cover to prevent stains, marks or soiling.

To clean your mattress, use a vacuum cleaner set to low power, without a rotating brush. Any other cleaning method, including the use of a steam appliance, is prohibited and will void the warranty.

Regularly wash blankets, bedspreads and mattress protectors. Air the room where your Nokto mattress is kept every morning.

Nokto mattresses are designed so that they do not need to be flipped.

Warranty conditions

Your Nokto mattress is covered by a 5-year warranty against any manufacturing defect affecting the inner elements (suspension, filling, tufting), subject to the conditions of use and warranty implementation defined below.

Manufacturing defects include any abnormal sagging corresponding to a height loss of more than 10 % of the mattress's total height, or any premature deformation occurring in the course of normal use that prevents the product's intended use.

Nokto mattresses are dimensionally manufactured according to the European standard EN 1334 (non-standard dimensions included). The noble materials used in the comfort elements — wool, linen, silk, cotton, fibres — may show slight and normal settling. A loss of less than 10 % cannot justify a claim.

The Nokto warranty applies to mattresses sold new, excluding second-hand and display products. Its duration is 10 years on a sliding scale from the date shown on the purchase invoice.

During the warranty period, Nokto undertakes to repair or exchange the product duly found to be defective with an identical product or, failing that, with a product of equivalent quality.

The ticking, sewing thread, zippers, handles and other elements whose durability depends on the conditions of use and maintenance are excluded from the Nokto warranty.

Implementing the warranty

To implement the Nokto warranty, the product must be shipped to the Nokto factory carriage paid through the retailer or distributor that sold the product. It must be accompanied by the invoice attesting to the purchase date. The repaired product will be shipped by Nokto carriage forward.

Any claim must be addressed to your Nokto retail advisor and the following documents must be completed and/or provided: after-sales request form, original invoice, photographs of the product.

The Nokto warranty applies in accordance with French laws and regulations. It does not preclude the implementation of the legal warranties of conformity and hidden defects provided for in Articles L.217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.

French Consumer Code – Art. L.217-4: "The goods conform to the contract if they meet, where applicable, the following criteria: 1° They match the description, type, quantity and quality, including functionality, compatibility and interoperability provided for in the contract; 2° They are suitable for any special use sought by the consumer, brought to the seller's attention at the latest at the time of conclusion of the contract and accepted by the seller; 3° They are delivered with all accessories and installation instructions; 4° They are updated in accordance with the contract."

French Civil Code – Art. 1641: "The seller is bound by the warranty against hidden defects in the item sold that render it unfit for its intended use, or that so impair this use that the buyer would not have purchased it, or would have paid a lower price, had he known of them."
